Southwest Florida in Path of Tropical Storm Dorian

Dorian is expected to bring Tropical storm conditions to portions of the Lesser Antilles tonight and Tuesday, where Tropical storm watches and warning are in effect.

"NBC2 has issued its an official alert at just before 5pm " It's time to start paying attention to the tropics. We're tracking Tropical Storm Dorian very closely."

Tropical storm conditions are possible in Puerto Rico on Wednesday, where a storm watch has been issued.  Rainfall of 2 to 4 inches with maximum totals of 6 inches are possible across Puerto Rico and St. Croix.


Watches will likely be issued for portions of Hispaniola tonight or Tuesday. While uncertainty is high, wind and rain impacts are possible in the Bahamas and Southwest Florida this week and weekend.


Residents should monitor progress and ensure that they have their hurricane plan in place.
