If all computer systems are go, a new restaurant will open its doors in Southwest Florida today. Well, it's not entirely new. It's the second location of a popular Cape Coral restaurant. Here is a sneak peak the new Cork Soakers Wine Bar in North Fort Myers. We love sneak peaks. Last night, owners hosted friends and family as they continue to put the finishing touches on the space. It's on Hancock Bridge Parkway, close to Moody River, in a building formerly home to Nestor's. It's also not to far from downtown Fort Myers.
Cork Soakers Deck & Wine Bar first opened on SW 47th Terrace in downtown Cape Coral. Most of the dining is al fresco. Longtime restauranteur Bob Mulroy, and wife Lina, bought the business six years ago from friends and former restaurant partners Jeff Gately and Ralph Centalonza. The duo named the restaurant after an irreverent and infamous Saturday Night Live sketch with Jimmy Fallon and Janet Jackson. Mulroy has put his own touch on the business with popular street parties, pre-fix dining menus for Lady's Night and lots more.
New Cork Soakers Deck & Wine Bar
His new location is mostly indoors, with a walk-in wine cellar and massive kitchen. He is still putting finishing touches on the space, including the bar. However, as long as the computers are online today, Mulroy plans to open the doors. The second location will serve the same elevated casual menu and popular Eggs Diablo. In addition, the North Fort Myers location will also be open for breakfast. The menu contains many of the favorite brunch items from Cape Coral including the popular Bitch Slap Bloody Mary and Hangover sandwich with fried bologna, bacon, egg and more.
There are not a lot of dining options in this area. We look forward to seeing the doors open. Congrats Cork Soakers on your new location.
