Over the weekend I took a trip to the Mile High City: Denver, CO.
Denver is one of my favorite places and it had been about 5 years since I was last there, so when I got an invite to lifelong friend of mine's wedding, there was no way I would let the chance to visit pass me by. My brother used to live out there, so I used to travel west frequently, and this time I made sure to hit up a few of my favorite places, but went to a few new spots too.
A few places I definitely recommend if you find yourself out that way is Colorado Plus Brew Pub located in Wheat Ridge. They have an amazing beer list of all Colorado beers and their food is great too. If you're looking for a hike with incredible views, Lookout Mountain in Golden is the spot. You can pit stop and check out Buffalo Bill's gravesite while you're up there.
If you feel like going south, Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs is a sight to be seen. These rocks are not only gorgeous in color, but the size of them up close is unreal, just so so beautiful. Then, it's worth another 15 min drive to Manitou Springs, a cool little mountain town with a penny arcade filled with vintage arcade games and the healing effervescent mineral waters you can drink right from the fountains around town.
If you haven't visited Denver, there's so much to do year-round and a truly beautiful place to explore with top notch scenery.
