Restaurants all over Southwest Florida are slowly shifting their menus. Chef's are receiving a bounty of different seasonal produce and they're crafting them into new dishes or reintroducing old favorites. In addition, they are tweaking some of their favorites. Here is a look at Hogfish Harry's new Fall Menu. The Naples restaurant unveiled some of the dishes at a private media dinner last night. They provided quite a spread of items to sample.
Hogfish Harry's is a hidden gem in Naples. It is tucked inside of the Park Shore Resort on Neapolitan Way. The resort is home to cobblestone pathways, and a wooden bridge that leads to the restaurant. The dining room is enclosed but has doors that open to a pool when the weather permits. The pool is lovely, surrounded by lush foliage including a berm with rocks that makes you wonder if you are still in Florida.
Well known Naples restaurateur Jerry Alajajian opened Hogfish Harry's about four years ago. He also owned Handsome Harry's which was famously found on Third Street South. Sadly, Jerry passed away in March and his fiancée Dayle Westover is overseeing the day to day operations.

The restaurant specializes in seafood with a moniker of "Ocean to Table." Chef Everett Fromm first looks local when sourcing food. He is from Arkansas but raised in Virginia. His culinary career began at the age of 14, washing dishes at the famous Blue Marlin seafood restaurant in Richmond. Yes, hogfish is on the main menu. It comes with a flavorful pineapple ginger butter and coconut lemongrass Jasmine rice.
Not pictured below but served last night was a big bowl of haricot verts, or green beans. They are one of the signature side dish now being served with entrees. Food was served family style so the portions you see in the photos below are not exactly what you will get when ordering.
