I'm a huge animal lover so I always get excited when I hear about new additions and the Naples Zoo welcomes 2 new lemurs.
Ever since I was a kid I've been a big animal lover. If you were to my parents what I wanted to do the most when I was a kid, it was to go to the zoo. I could've gone every weekend and never tired of it. We're so lucky to have such a wonderful zoo, Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens, here in Southwest Florida to enjoy. And they just welcomed 2 new lemurs that I can't wait to go and see.
Naples Zoo Welcomes 2 New Lemurs
Naples Zoo has welcomed a few new residents, 2 new mongoose lemurs who are just adorable. Their names are Consuela, who is 8 years old and Snuffy who is 11. Fox4 says you'll be able to tell them apart because Consuela has white under her chin and on the sides of her face. Snuffy has brownish-red fur under his chin. A can't miss at Naples Zoo is the Primate Expedition Cruise and on that cruise is where you'll be able to see the new pair.
If you haven't been to Naples Zoo in the last year, there are some other new residents there as well. Last August, the zoo welcomed 4 Bornean orangutans: 43 year-old DeeDee, her son 15 year-old RanDee, daughter 5 year-old Dira and her grandson 2-year-old Riplee.
