Hurricane Milton Shelters: Tampa Bay & SWFL List

Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall on Wednesday (October 9). Many areas are under evacuation orders, and shelters are now open for residents.

Below is a list of Hurricane Milton shelters in both the Tampa Bay area and Southwest Florida.

Tampa Bay Area Shelters

Pinellas County

The following shelters are open to the general population and are pet-friendly:

  • Largo High School: 410 Missouri Avenue North, Largo
  • Gibbs High School: 850 34th Street South, St. Petersburg
  • Palm Harbor University High School: 1900 Omaha Street, Palm Harbor

The following are no pet/general population shelters:
