The 2024 NFL season is finally here! The two time defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs begin the defense of their titles Thursday night with a home game against the regular season MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs will attempt to become the first team in NFL history to pull off three straight Super Bowl wins.
And for the first time ever we have a Friday night tilt opening weekend from Brazil as the Packers play the Eagles in an international game. Last year the Packers figured some things out with young quarterback Jordan Love and were one of the hottest teams in the league late in the year. Meanwhile, the Eagles struggled through a complete late season collapse that is fresh in the memories of Philly fans everywhere.
THE 2024 NFL SEASON
After a full slate of games on Sunday afternoon, the Sunday night game features a rematch of an NFC playoff game from last year when the LA Rams come to Detroit to take on the Detroit Lions. The game also features another homecoming for former longtime Lions QB Matt Stafford as he tries to lead the Rams to his second Super Bowl title with LA.
More drama is at stake on Monday night when Aaron Rodgers leads the New York Jets out west to play the 49ers. Rodgers lasted 4 plays in his Jets debut last season before an achilles injury ended things before they got started. And the 49ers had numerous contract issues all summer but they seem to have ironed them all out in time for the season as they try to get back to the Super Bowl again.
