Florida Everblades Advance; Solar Bears on Deck

After a 4-0 win over the Jacksonville Icemen in game 7 of the South Division Semifinals, the Florida Everblades advance to the next round to take on the Orlando Solar Bears. Florida's quest for a 3-peat rolls on. The Blades had marginal success against the Solar Bears this season going 8-6 in their 14 matchups. The South Division Finals will get underway on Friday, March 3^rd at Hertz Arena.

The Florida Everblades advance to the South Division Final. But looking back at the series with the Jacksonville Icemen, and the Florida Everblades showed why they are back-to-back reigning Kelly Cup Champions. The Blades looked dead in the water after Jacksonville took a 3-1 series lead over the Blades with a 5-0 win at Hertz Arena. The Blades allowed 14 goals in the first 5 games of the series. The defense toughened up over the final 3 games of the series allowing just 2 shot to get past Cam Johnson in total. Game 7 was an absolute masterclass of goal tending by Cam Johnson.
