Is Bill Belichick Career Over?

Bill Belichick career over

Headline of the Day:  Is former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick career over?  Today happens to be his 72nd birthday and he is currently unemployed.  Many were shocked when, after Belichick and the Patriots parted ways after the 2023 season, nobody snatched him up.  In fact, the only interview he seemed to land was with the Atlanta Falcons.  However, it seemed the management there did not want to give up power and decision making ability to him.

That doesn't mean Belichick hasn't been keeping busy.  Two weeks ago he spent some time with the Washington Huskies program.  His son Steve Belichick is the defensive coordinator there.  A few days later, Belichick spent hours with Matt Rhule and the Nebraska Cornhuskers for a coaching clinic.  Following the clinic, Belichick spent another four and a half hours with Rhule's staff talking X's and O's.

BILL BELICHICK CAREER OVER?

He clearly has a ton of knowledge and interest in the sport.  But back to our headline; Is Bill Belichick Career Over?  We would think if he is not picked up in the next go-around following the 2024 season then, yes, at age 73 his career would seem to be over.  What do you think?  By the way, on Craig Shemon and Company on ESPN Southwest Florida we will do NFL Coaching Trivia.  Join us at 4:45!  Good luck!
