Do you remember watching Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street? I just realized that he was always naked in a trash can. Think about it. He never wore any clothes, and he lived in a trash can. I never realized how weird that was until now.
Meet today's Florida man, Wyly James Weeks. You see, he decided to go out for the night.. However, it wasn't just any ordinary night out. No, this dude was going to go have a few drinks and strip down to his birthday suit and then hang out in a garbage can. Yup, just like a real life Oscar the Grouch.
According to the Smoking Gun, this madness happened on Saturday night in St. Pete. The police show up at the scene and our pal Wyly is completely wasted, reeking of alcohol and relaxing naked inside a trash can. I guess it was like his own VIP area.
Oscar the Grouch Arrested:
The cops, obviously not fans of Sesame Street, didn't waste any time and decided that the trashed Florida man just couldn't behave like that in public. So they decide to arrest the real life Oscar the Grouch for intoxication and resisting arrest without any physical altercation.
But as they're taking him away, Wyly boldly states, That he's allowed to be drunk in public and that he doesn't need to provide them with his name. Guess what? After sobering up a bit in jail, he actually admits guilt to the charges and ends up with a $520 fine.
Well, Wyly is actually kind of a pro when it comes to his naked antics. He's been around the block without clothes a few times.
Can you believe that one time he and a friend decided it would be fun to strip down naked after hitting up a bar in Tampa? Who in their mind does that? Our naked Oscar the Grouch. That's who.
So now, like me, you'll never be able to look at Sesame Street the same ever again. No wonder Oscar the Grouch was so grumpy. The dude was nursing a serious hangover!
