Getting out in nature can provide a little bit of zen in this crazy world and 1 Florida national park has made a list of the best for peace & quiet.

We all have crazy day to day lives. Whether you have a job that comes with a lot of stress, a gaggle of kids to tend to, wild and crazy pets or just a busy schedule. To be able to take some time for yourself is important. One of the reasons I was so eager to move to Florida was because I wanted to be able to spend time outdoors all year. Living in Fort Myers, between the beach, walking and biking trails, kayaking, etc. there's never an excuse to bored. There's just something about getting outside and feeling the sun on your skin that feels so good and is a cure for whatever might be ailing you.

If you're looking for the best of the best when it comes to peace & quiet, 1 Florida national park has made the list.

I follow a girl on Instagram that has visited all 63 national parks. Some are very difficult to get to, so it's pretty impressive that she's been able to do it. I've visited a few, but I still have many to cross off my list. Some are more popular than others, and with popularity come a lot of people. If you'd rather find a park to get away from people and enjoy some solitude, MoneyTalksNews put together a list of the best national parks for peace & quiet. The National Park Service says the most populated is Great Smoky Mountains National Park with over 13 millions visitors last year alone. The least populated are in Alaska, as you might imagine.

In Florida, coming in at #9 on the list is Dry Tortugas National Park. This park is 70 miles west of Key West in the Gulf. You can get there only by boat or seaplane to enjoy swimming, boating, turtles and a bit of history as well.

Here are the top 5:

  1. Gates of the Arctic National Park- Alaska
  2. The National Park of American Samoa
  3.  Lake Clark National Park- Alaska
  4. Kobuk Valley National Park- Alaska
  5. Isle Royale National Park- Michigan
