There's something comforting about a small town. Everyone knows your name. You feel like you personally know everyone in the town. Thankfully, we have a lot of such towns in Florida. It's just a friendly vibe, in general. In fact, one might say small towns are cuddle-worthy, in the sense that they just want to make you cuddle up with that special someone. Now, one Florida town has been named one of the "Coziest Hygge" towns in America.

"Are you ready to embrace the concept of 'hygge' and explore some of the coziest towns in America for a winter weekend getaway?" states MyDatingAdvisor.com in their new study. If you've never heard of it, the term "Hygge" is a Danish word that "encompasses the feeling of comfort, contentment, and well-being, often achieved through simple pleasures and a sense of coziness," they explain. I've actually heard of that word, because one of my favorite Hallmark movies references it a lot. So, MyDatingAdvisor.com set out to determine the coziest and cuddliest "Hugge" towns in America. To me, the term "Hugge" also brings to mind cuddling with your significant other on a cozy couch, drinking hot cocoa and talking while the fireplace crackles. Sounds fun, right?

Topping the list of the coziest Hugge towns in America is Stockholm, Wisconsin. "Stockholm proudly displays its Swedish heritage, from the comforting cuisine to the snug architecture, making it a haven of coziness for those seeking respite from the chill of winter," MyDatingAdvisor.com states. No. 2 is Stowe, Vermont, and No. 3 is Stanley, Idaho. Rounding out the top five is Ellicottville, New York, at No. 4 and Breckenridge, Colorado, at No. 5.

The highest Florida city on the list is Seaside at No. 133. While it's nice to see a Florida area make the cut, I really think it should be highest. I mean, our most cuddle-worthy city is No. 133? Not good enough. Find more of the coziest towns here.

Summer is here, and it's going to be hot, as always, in Florida. Florida beaches are very popular and fun. But, they can also get crowded. Thankfully, there are some "secret" beaches that are kind of more difficult to find.

If you're looking for some "secret" places to get your beach on in Florida, the crew at Family Destinations Guide has done the research to find you those spots. "We surveyed 3,000 families in the United States to determine the hidden beaches they most want to visit in summer 2023," they state in the study.

As it turns out, Florida has four of the top 10 "secret beaches" in America, according to this study. That means they shouldn't be too overcrowded. That's a great thing.

If you're wondering about Family Destinations Guide, they regularly feature "reviews of hotels, resorts, destinations, and attractions your whole family will love. In addition, the site is filled with ideas that will help you plan your next trip.
