The Detroit Lions Dream Team
The 2023 NFL season brought us the Detroit Lions Dream Team. Most Lions fans have been dreaming about a season like this since 1957. Until now, Detroit has won one playoff game during the entire Super Bowl era. They’ve doubled that number in the past two weeks with playoff wins over their former quarterback Matt Stafford and the Rams and the Buccaneers. And those two games were at home! They were the first home playoff games in the history of Ford Field! This is why Lions fans feel like they are dreaming.
DETROIT LIONS DREAM TEAM
The dream continues because the Lions are 60 minutes away from the Super Bowl. They are one of four teams that have never been to a Super Bowl. But first they have to beat a dynamic San Francisco 49ers team on the road on Sunday. But this Lions roster isn’t too bad either. Quarterback Jared Goff is deadly accurate. He has weapons at running back, wide receiver, tight end and plays behind the best offensive line in football. The defense, led by Aidan Hutchinson, isn’t perfect but the effort and grit is there. And speaking if grit, that’s the one word to perfectly describe their beloved head coach Dan Campbell. The Lions have taken on the personality of their coach and the city of Detroit. Today we have Lions Trivia on Craig Shemon and Company on ESPN Southwest Florida.
