Barbie has been an iconic figure since sales began in the late 50's and if you've always wanted to meet her, you've got a chance next weekend in Fort Myers.
It's hard to believe that Barbie has been making little girls happy since 1959. And in 2023 we saw massive blockbuster success with the movie in theaters. They say what's old is new again, but I'm not sure with Barbie that her popularity ever lessened. I wasn't much of a Barbie girl when I was little. I grew up with brothers so my preferred toys were more along the lines of sporting equipment and matchbox cars, but I had some friends that couldn't love Barbie more. They had the dolls, the outfits, the convertible, the life size Barbie, Barbie Dreamhouse..they had it all. Not to mention Barbie themed birthday parties I attended more than a few of.
Meet Barbie Next Weekend In Fort Myers
Last week, I reported on the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck coming to a few of the malls in Tampa. And much like that, Barbie is hitting the road with the Barbie Truck Tour. Saturday, January 20th from 10am-7pm, The Barbie Truck will be set up behind the stage in the courtyard at Gulf Coast Town Center in Fort Myers. There will be balloon twisting, face painting and a meet & greet with Barbie from noon-2pm. There will be plenty of merch for sale too. Everything from apparel to mugs, totes to jewelry. If you have a Barbie lover in your family, this is one event you won't want to miss!

Estero Is Looking Forward To 2024 Events At Hertz Arena
It's a new year and that means a new line up of talent and entertainment is coming with events at Hertz Arena in 2024. Get ready Estero, they've got some awesome shows coming our way.
Last year will be hard to beat, especially for the country and Latin music fans in Southwest Florida.
I went to several shows at Hertz Arena in 2023. Some standouts were definitely Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett and Old Dominion. As you can obviously tell, I am a country music fan. I'll be honest, I tend to prefer the smaller audiences at shows in venues like Hertz Arena, over stadium shows in Tampa or Miami. Concession lines aren't as long, you can get into the bathroom and there might be a small t-shirt left at the merch table when the show ends. And don't even get me started with parking lots at big shows. If you drive you'll sit for a while to exit and if you don't, finding an Uber is next to impossible.

Events at Hertz Arena In 2024
Hertz Arena in 2024 has something for all ages coming up this year. Of course, we have the Florida Everblades games, which are always a local favorite in my opinion. We have musical acts, family shows like the Harlem Globetrotters and Disney On Ice, and several comedians making their way to Estero throughout the entire year. With the summer calendar pretty much bare, we can certainly expect some new show announcements in the coming months.
