Dolphins Face the Chiefs and Weather Saturday Night

The Miami Dolphins look to break their 4 game playoff losing streak on Saturday night in Kansas City. And it looks like there will be two opponents on Saturday. The Dolphins face the Chiefs and the weather on Saturday night. The current weather forecast of Kansas City on Saturday night calling for temperatures in the single digits at kickoff. And that's single digits Fahrenheit not Celsius. The Miami Dolphins have not had a lot of success in cold weather games. Both recently and in their history. The Dolphins have lost 8 straight games when the temperature at kickoff has been 40 degrees and below. And the kickoff temperature on Saturday night could be the coldest in Dolphins history. That doesn't bode well for a franchise that freezes in the cold historically.

There is a bit of somewhat positive news for Fins fans. The coldest game in Dolphins history came at Arrowhead. In late 2008 the Dolphins beat the Chiefs 38-31 in a game where the kickoff temperature was 10 degrees. Every Dolphins fan has seen what this version of the Fins has done when the calendar flipped to December the last 2 years. So how can there be optimism in the fan base? I don't think there can be. The time for thinking this version of the Miami Dolphins to figure it out in big games is done. They players have the ball in their court and if they want to change the narrative, then they have to be the ones to go out and do it. It will be a cold uphill battle for the Saturday night in Arrowhead. But it's another chance to prove this is a true Super Bowl contender.
