The Tennessee Titans entered Sunday in a state of limbo. The team has been average this season, but had an uphill climb with Ryan Tannehill out. Head Coach Mike Vrabel told reporters that Will Levis and second year quarterback Malik Willis would get playing time. That was true. But it was the rookie Levis who took the job and made it his. And in doing so Will Levis saved the Titans future. With the NFL trade deadline approaching the Titans had started the sell off. They traded Safety Kevin Byard to Philadelphia and the rumors were swirling around Derrick Henry. Will Levis' 4 touchdown performance has pushed the Titans back into win now mode. And will keep the roster together for the rest of the season. But that's not the only reason Will Levis saved the Titans future. They get to move on from Ryan Tannehill now.
Ryan Tannehill is a known entity within the NFL. He has shown he knows how to win when surrounded with a solid to good roster. With the NFL trade deadline on October 31st the Titans should look to move on from Tannehill. There are a couple of teams that make sense as a Ryan Tannehill landing spot; Minnesota and Atlanta. Kirk Cousins' Achilles injury means the Vikings now turn to rookie Jaren Hall. Desmond Ridder has been bad for the Falcons this year. The Falcons have the roster to compete for the NFC South and host a playoff game. No matter where the Titans send Ryan Tannehill, Will Levis saved the Titans future... or at least it seems that way now.
