Adam Wilson of Winter Haven Won A Million Dollars On A $5 Scratch Off

Congratulations Adam Wilson of Winter Haven, Florida  on your million dollar win! I'm a big fan of winning a million on just a $5 dollar ticket. Those $50 tickets scare me, I just can't do it.

Adam was playing the Florida Lottery $5 Scratch-Off game, THE PRICE IS RIGHT, launched in February and features eight top prizes of $1 million. Well, minus the one he just won, of course. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00. It's a great win, but I have a question.

That picture is Adam's actual winning ticket from the Florida Lottery and I'm completely lost. I have no idea how this game works, or how Adam knew that he won. Maybe it was clearer before he scratched off the ticket, but I have no idea how this is a winning ticket. I'm gonna have to find the rules online somewhere. I always felt the same way about the crossword ones, too. They just seem more complicated than I want them to be. I feel like I would just scratch off the bottom of the ticket right after I bought it and put the ticket under the scanner at Publix. It'll tell me if I won or lost and I can just get on with it.

Anyway, congratulations Adam Wilson of Winter Haven on your million dollar win. Just to show that sometimes the little $5 Florida Lottery tickets can win big, too.

Atlanta killed it in the quality of life category. So much to do if you're into downtown city vibes, or the mountains not too far away. The city also did well in healthcare.

If you're a foodie and love the coastal lifestyle, Charleston is the city for you. The city ranked highest in healthcare and also high in quality of life.

If you're looking for affordability, look no further than Cincinnati, which is ranked the highest on list. The city also ranked high for quality of life and healthcare.

Denver is a city that I visit pretty often. All four seasons are gorgeous with lots to do. It ranked high on this list for affordability.

Casper ranked very high in quality of life and activities. You have hiking, skiing and lots of outdoor activities, it would be impossible to be bored.

Miami is kind of known for being expensive, but the city ranked high in affordability. The city got one of the highest rankings for quality of life as well.

Orlando ranked high in quality of life. You have a little bit of everything there, the grandkids will love to come and visit and the beach is just a short drive away.

When I think affordability, Fort Lauderdale doesn't come to mind, but it ranked pretty high in that category. It also got good rankings in healthcare and quality of life.

Scottsdale is one of my favorite cities, so it's not just for retirees. But for those looking for desert days, the city did rank high in affordability. And it's great for year-round golf!

While right next to each, St Pete came in on the list at #11, but Tampa takes the top spot as the best place in America to retire. The weather is amazing year-round and the city ranked high for health care.
