Disney Shanghai Reopens To Limited Visitors As China Recovers From Coronavirus Pandemic

From Orlando to Shanghai: Ultimate Disney Fan Travels to All 12 Parks in Just 12 Days!

Meet Nathan Firesheets, he is the ultimate  Disney fan! According to WTLA, this guy has taken his love for all things Disney to a whole new level by hitting all 12 Disney theme parks in the world in just 12 days. That's right, in less than two weeks, he managed to ride all 216 operating rides across the globe. Impressive, right?

I thought my 38-year-old cousin was the ultimate Disney fanatic, but Nathan Firesheets has put her to shame. I mean, who needs to go on a romantic trip to Paris when you can just hit up Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios Park? No Eiffel Tower or Louvre for this guy! He's all about that Disney magic.

Orlando to Shanghai:

And he didn't just stop in Europe, no sir. He hopped on a plane to China and went to Shanghai Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland in the same week. Talk about a jet setter! I'm surprised he didn't ask for a FastPass through customs.

But the fun didn't stop there. Nathan was just getting started. He headed to Japan next, where he visited Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. I wonder if he found Nemo in the park's aquarium? Probably not, he was too busy riding all the rides.

Then it was back to the United States, where he hit Disneyland and Disney California Adventure in California before heading to Florida. That's right, he made a pit stop at the original Disneyland before heading to Walt Disney World in Florida.

Ultimate Disney Fan:

And he didn't just visit one or two parks in Florida. No, no, no. He went to all four: Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Magic Kingdom. I'm surprised he had time to sleep or eat between all those rides.

But wait, there's more! Nathan documented the whole thing on his YouTube channel, which has about 100k followers. He called it the "Disney Global Ride Challenge." I can't wait to see the footage, especially the part where he falls asleep on It's a Small World.

I don't know how much Nathan spent on this Disney extravaganza, but I'm sure it was worth every penny. Who needs a retirement fund when you can have memories of riding Space Mountain in 12 different countries? Nathan Firesheets, you are the ultimate Disney super-fan, and we bow down to your dedication to the mouse.

Some amusement parks are built for thrill seekers, some are more family oriented. But one thing most everyone can agree on - the best ones are here in Florida. Orlando, actually. So how do you choose? Family vacations experts at Family Destinations Guide analyzed TripAdvisor data on the 20 most visited amusement parks in North America. They calculated the percentage of “excellent” reviews for each to find the most popular.

Taking the top spot is one of our faves. Universal's Islands of Adventure at Universal Orlando Resort. The one in Florida, boasting 52,180 total reviews on TripAdvisor.  38,582 (73.9%) of those reviews marked “excellent”. The park is renowned for its six themed islands: Marvel Super Hero Island, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Seuss Landing, Toon Lagoon, and Skull Island.

Cedar Point is the only amusement park on this list that’s neither in Florida nor California. It’s in Sandusky, Ohio. And Cedar Point was my favorite summer vacation as a kid in Ohio. I loved the "Corkscrew" so much I had to have the souvenir shirt. CP ranked at fourth place with 9,186 total TripAdvisor reviews.  5,930 (64.6%) of those reviews were “excellent”. The park, which is  one of the biggest amusement parks worldwide, is home to over 70 attractions, including 17 roller coasters.

This Top 10 ranking is based on Trip Advisor reviews. One interesting thing to note, the Florida parks tend to rank higher than what should be identical parks in California. Universal Orlando ranks higher than Universal in California. Disney World > Disneyland. Finally, let's get to the rankings based on Total Percentage of "Excellent" Reviews.

10. SeaWorld Orlando

9. Epcot at Walt Disney World Resort Florida

8. Universal Studios Hollywood California

7. Disney's Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort

6. Universal Studios Florida at Universal Orlando Resort

5. Disneyland Park - California

4. Cedar Point - Ohio

3. Disney California Adventure Park

2. Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort

1. Universal's Islands of Adventure at Universal Orlando Resort

Here's how they made the rankings

My take

There's not a bad one on this list. Each park has it's strengths. Some have more and bigger coasters. Some are better if you have small children. Do your research and I'm sure you'll have a great time.
