Former head coach of the Miami Dolphins, Brian Flores,  has sued the NFL and each  its franchises for racial discrimination. The lawsuit states "Mr. Flores has determined that the only way to effectuate real change is through the Courts, where the NFL’s conduct can be judged by a jury of Mr. Flores’ peers. A judgment that is long overdue." According to Yahoo, "Flores claims that he was informed by New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick that the New York Giants head coaching job had gone to someone else, three days before Flores was scheduled to interview for the position. He calls the Giants interview process a "sham" through which he was "humiliated."

He also claims that when he interviewed for the Broncos, John Elway was an hour late and looked to be hung-over. Flores claims the only reason he was interviewed was to satisfy the Rooney Rule, which requires teams to interview minorities for head coaching jobs. Brian Flores had a 24-25 record in three seasons with the Dolphins.

Here's the lawsuit that was filed today. There's some strong language here on the front page, so maybe don't read this aloud if you're hanging out with your kids. Depending on your browser, the lawsuit document may not show up. Click here to read it.
