Do you want to be a millionaire? Tonight is your chance to join countless players as they play to win the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots that offer a combined total of more than $1 billion.

The jackpot for Mega Millions' Tuesday night drawing has climbed to $615 million, or $451.8 million cash. It’s the fourth-largest jackpot in the history of the game, which began in 2002.

The top prize in the Powerball game reached $550 million ahead of Wednesday's drawing, or $411.4 million cash value. This is the highest the Powerball jackpot has been since March 2019.

The January 13 Powerball drawing could prove to be a lucky draw date for players as it coincides with the fifth anniversary of Powerball’s world record $1.586 billion jackpot.

That record jackpot was hit on Jan. 13, 2016, and was shared by winners in California, Florida, and Tennessee.

According to CBS News, lottery prizes have been growing since spring 2020, when officials reduced guaranteed minimums and stop promising specific increases because the COVID-19 caused sales to slow.
