49ers Won’t Return To Facility When NFL Allows Re-Opening

San Francisco 49ers v New Orleans Saints

Team is red hot.

Shut two months ago to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus, the NFL will allow teams to return to their training facilities starting Tuesday.

However, that comes with the caveat of in accordance with local guidelines. So while some staffers will enter the buildings, that won't happen with the 49ers.

According to ESPN's Nick Wagoner, Santa Clara County, where the team is based, still hasn't begun the second phase of the state's easing of lockdown restrictions.

Since coaches and non-rehabbing players are still prohibited, NBC Sports points out this isn't as much of a disadvantage as one might think.
