Kevin Durant Suffered Achilles Injury, Says GM

The excitement was running high on Monday night as it was announced that Kevin Durant was returning to the court after spending a month recovering from a calf strain. But it didn't last very long.

During the Finals Game 5, the Warriors superstar went down, helped to the locker room by his teammates, then later leaving Scotiabank Arena on crutches.

Following Golden State's eventual 106-105 victory, general manager Bob Myers tearfully told reporters, "It's an Achilles injury," adding that Durant will undergo an MRI to determine the severity.

KD managed 11 points in 12 minutes on the court for the contest.
