NBA Basketball player LeBron James has agreed to a four-year, $154 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers multiple sources confirm.

James has spent 15 NBA seasons playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Miami Heat.

The decision 3.0 makes it the third time in 8 years James has changed teams.  It's the longest deal he has signed since accepting a six-year deal with the Heat in 2010.

Why did James sign with the Lakers?

The Lakers had a cap space which allows the team to pair James with Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma.

In the end, James believed it was the right situation for him.

"Thank you Northeast Ohio for an incredible 4 seasons. This will always be home," said LeBron in an Instagram story.

According to ESPN, the Lakers also have agreed to a one-year, $12 million deal with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
