It is the last weekend of the month and we have yet another cool front moving through. However, nothing like the last one. The temps might be just right to put on some costumes and attend the Celtic Festival in Fort Myers and the Renaissance Fair in Bonita Springs. They are just two of the fun and family friendly outdoor events. Here is where to find the weekend fun in Southwest Florida and there is a lot to be had. We’ve got your Weekend Vibes for January 26th through the 28th.

From last year’s Naples Winter Wine Fest. Chef’s from around the state and country show up to cook at the tasting event before the live auction.

Last weekend was the SWFL Food and Wine Fest which raised more than $2 Million. This weekend is the big Naples Winter Wine Festival and it is three times as big with vintners flying in from around the world. It is one of the top rated and most lucrative wine auction and festivals in the country. You can check out some of the auction items online and bid from wherever you are this weekend.

More weekend fun in Southwest Florida

If beer is more your thing, and chili too, there is an event in Punta Gorda with your name on it. It is still the season for art festivals and this weekend will not disappoint in that category. A couple of places for you to find unique works from talented artists are listed below. There are also car shows and RV shows on the calendar for those who like their wheels.

  • Caloosahatchee Celtic Festival

    It’s time for the 20th Annual Calooshatchee Celtic Fesival. Live music features longtime SWFL favorites The Screaming Orphans, along with Syr, Albannach and other Celtic and Irish groups. Music, dancers, food, vendors are lots more fun for the family. Saturday noon to 10 p.m., Sunday noon to 9 p.m. Festivities are at the Caloosa Sound Amphitheater in downtown Fort Myers.   • 13th Annual Charlotte Harbor Chili Challenge Blues And Beer Fest

    This is Saturday on the waterfront in Punta Gorda’s Laishley Park. Enjoy lots of live music and 50 different craft beers from all over Florida and the country. You’ll need that beer to washdown all of the chili. It is a competition, so vote for your favorite. Gates open at 11a.m. Tickets start at $7.50 in advance.   • Best South Cape Martini Competition

    This is the 18th year for this trolley event in down town Cape Coral. Grab your drink passport and hop aboard a trolley for transport to ten restaurants and bars where you can sample their signature martinis. Appetizer samples are also available. At the end of the night, vote on your favorite. Saturday from 7p.m. to 11p.m.. Check in from 6-7:30p..m. at Big John Plaza near Pinch-A-Penny. Tickets start at $30, $25 for desinated drivers..   • Mercato Art Celebration

    This two day celebration of art is at the Mercato Shops in north Naples. Browse and buy all kinds of art from photography and sculptures to jewelry and pottery. Saturday 10a.m. to 6p.m., Sunday 9a.m. to 3p.m. Free and pet friendly. More info here.

  • Venezia Renaissance Faire

    This is the last weekend for the renaissance and medieval faire. Enjoy all kinds of strolling entertainment, music and medieval games like jousting and chariot races. The food is, medieval-style as well. The faire is Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On Bonita Beach Road next to Bonita Springs Poker Room. More info here

  • Sanibel Invitational Art Fest

    This annual art festival returns to the Sanibel Community House on Periwinkle Way for the first time since Hurricane Ian. Because of ongoing repairs, the festival will be held indoors this year. There will be fewer artists than typical as well, but all are said to be exceptional. The event kicks off Friday and runs through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free although donations are solicited. They benefit the Sanibel Community Association and the Sanibel Community House. More info here. 

  • SWFL Wedding Show

    If you are planning a wedding or any kind of big party, find all the vendors you might need and get some great ideas at this show. It’s at the beautiful Shangri-La Springs on Old 41 in Bonita Springs, Sunday from  noon to 2p.m. Tickets start at $10. More info here.

  • Car And Truck Show

    It’s time for the 20th annual West Coast Muscle Car Club Benefit Car and Truck Show. The show is a partnership with Avow and the West Coast Muscle Car Club. You’ll get to see all kinds of vintage, classic and custom cars and trucks. In addition, there will be music, food and more. Proceeds benefit Avow Kids programs dealing with grief and loss. $12. kids 12 and under free. It’s Saturday from 9a.m. to 4 p.m. at North Collier Regional Park in Naples . More info here

  • Promenades at Parkside Food Truck Fest

    Food truck are having their moment in the spotlight all across Southwest Florida. This is the first event celebrating the restaurants on wheels at the Promenades at Parkside on U.S. 41 in Port Charlotte. Admission is free for the entire family. Saturday, from noon to 3p.m. More info here

  • 2nd Annual SWFL Anime-Fest in Fort Myers

    The second-annual convention celebrates anime, manga and pop culture with celebrity guests, vendors, trivia, a cosplay contest, panel discussions and more. Numerous celebrity guests voice actors will be on hand. Sunday 10a.m. to 5p.m. at Doubletree by Hilton Fort Myers at Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers. $20, More info here.  

  • Florida RV Show

    This big show kicked off on Thursday and runs all weekend at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers. Get up close and personal to all kinds of RV’s from some of the nations biggest manufacturers and top names. Gates open at 10a.m. each day. $10. Free parking. More info here.
