Video: FGCU Alum Chris Sale Had A Horrible Game In Rehab Stint – So He Destroyed The Clubhouse
Chris Sale, FGCU alum and native of Lakeland, Florida now with the Red Sox is recovering from a stress fracture in his right ribcage and has been rehabbing with the Woo Sox in Worcester Massachusetts. It did not go well. According to Milb " Sale went 3.2 innings with the following line: 3 H, 1 ER, 5 BB, 5 K, recording 42 strikes on those 72 pitches. The left-hander, returning from a rib fracture, delivered strikeouts on three sliders, one fastball and one changeup. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRider's (the Yankees AAA affiliate) lone run against Sale came on a bases-loaded walk, his final pitch of the night, and the three hits came in form of a soft bloop single and a pair of infield singles " resulting in a 4-2 loss for the Woo Sox.
Things started off well enough with an early strikeout, but after Sale was pulled in the fourth after the bases loaded walk he went nuclear on the clubhouse. I feel for the other players and the clubhouse attendant on this. We all know they don't make a lot of money, and they certainly don't get the glory the major leaguers get. They really don't deserve to have their stuff destroyed because Chris Sale was struggling to throw strikes.
UPDATE: Chris Sale plans on buying the club a new tv to replace the one he destroyed.
How it started
And then...
I'm thinking the person taking the video needed to put that phone down in a hurry and that's why the video stopped when it did. Do better Chris.
