The Miami Dolphins face their toughest test Saturday night in Orchard Park. And Tua’s cold weather stats are not very good. Miami has lost their last 2 games. The first 2 games where Tua Tagovailoa has lost games that he started and finished in 2022. If Miami wants to stay in the AFC East hunt with Buffalo, they have to win this game. The Chargers game was the worst game Tua has played in 2022, and it ain’t even close. He posted season lows (outside of the Cincinnati game where he was injured) in completions, yards, and Passer Rating. Sunday night was also Tua’s second lowest QBR game. His worst is the week prior against San Francisco. Tua is not the only one to blame for the back-to-back losses. He is also part of the problem though.
For all the complaining Bills fans did after they lost to Miami in 95 degree weather in Miami during the September matchup, the weather Saturday night will play a bigger factor. The Miami Dolphis are on an 8-game losing streak with a kickoff temperature of 40 or below. In those games they are losing by an average of 20.5 points per game. Almost 3 touchdowns. And the early weather forecasts call for snow in Buffalo Saturday with a kickoff temperature in the upper 20’s. There are some positives for Miami in this spot though. Miami’s week 3 win over the Bills was one of the best defensive displays of the season- limiting the bills to just 19 points with over 40 minutes of possession. And 2 of those points came off a safety on a punt. Here are some Tua cold weather stats and more nuggets around this game.
