Tiger is Testing His Body

Tiger Testing His Body

The month of December is one of the better months on the sports calendar. College football bowl season, NFL playoff races, college basketball and the NBA as well. It's a great sports month. But add Tiger Woods to the December sports calendar this year. Tiger is committed to play in the Hero World Challenge (Dec. 1-4) and The Match VII (Dec. 10). Tiger and his son, Charlie, have played in the the PNC Challenge the last 2 years, and most thing they will make that 3 straight years from December 17th-18th. This is awesome for golf fans, and I think Tiger is testing his body to see how much competitive golf he can handle. It's been almost 2 years since his near fatal car crash in California. We have seen him at The Masters, PGA Championship, and The Open since then. His play in those tournament was inconsistent at best.

Tiger is testing his body for the upcoming season. The Hero World Challenge is the only event where Tiger will be walking in the round. But because it's the first of three events, he will be able to assess how his body reacts to walking followed by a few more rounds of golf. It is unlikely that Tiger plays a couple times a month when the season starts to ramp up in February. But maybe this can provide the data for Tiger to better manage his body. Remember it's not just Tiger's leg that is a question mark. Tiger has dealt with back, knee, and neck surgeries during his professional career. But the leg is the big question mark now. If Tiger's body responds to 7 rounds in 18 days, then we will probably see more of him in 2023. Best of luck Tiger!
