It’s that time of the week again. Shemon and Sheppard Wednesday Wisdom Fun Facts for 10/21 at 5:30pm. Most of you know by now that this is one of our most fun segments of the week. I try to find the most amusing and entertaining fun facts that you will enjoy. They are not all family friendly at times I will admit but for the most part it’s fun for all ages.
These little tid-bits of information, sometimes useless information, can be very stimulating to the mind. I have an expert research team of Minions who work on these Fun Facts 24/7. And they work for free! I try to give them certain themes from time to time but generally they do a great job on their own.
Here are some sports related Wednesday Wisdom Fun Facts you might enjoy from this day!
1997 – Liván Hernández strikes out 15 Braves in a complete-game win for the Marlins in Game of 5 of the NLCS. The final called strikeout to end the game was emblematic of home plate umpire Eric Gregg’s abnormally large strike zone.
2010 – Cliff Lee throws a CG with 11 K and 0 BB at Tropicana Field. Ian Kinsler notches 3 RBI including a 2-run HR in the 9th, as the Rangers defeat the Rays in the ALDS. That was the franchise’s first-ever postseason series victory.
2016 – American Auston Matthews becomes the first rookie to score four goals in his NHL debut, but the Maple Leafs lose to the Senators 5-4 in overtime on the first night of the 2016-17 regular season.
Please everyone enjoy your day. These are simply just extra words because if I don't get to at least three hundred words in any post I get penalized by the Joe Winner Police! Just kidding Joe. Love ya.
