NFL preseason football continues with Packers and Chiefs.  If that sounds familiar, it should.  Packers and Chiefs  was the matchup for Super Bowl I.  However, it was not called the Super Bowl at the time.  That moniker came later.  So we thought we'd honor those greats, including Len Dawson who just passed away, with Wiki-Pete-ia on the Shemon and Sheppard Show.

In case you are not fortunate enough to be lucky caller number nine at 239-337-ESPN, then you are in luck!  Play at home and dazzle your family!  Stump your co-workers with useless knowledge!  Amaze your friends with your newfound intelligence!  Below are the actual questions AND ANSWERS heard during Wiki-Pete-ia on our show.

When the Packers and Chiefs play, it stirs up memories of the early infancy days of the NFL.  A lot of the games greatest names played in that first Super Bowl.  We mentioned Dawson already.  But don't forget Bart Starr, Vince Lombardi, Hank Stram, Forrest Gregg, Paul Hornung, Jerry Kramer, and Ray Nitschke.  Let's also not forget Chiefs owner Lamar Hunt who was instrumental in the AFL's survival as well as his roll putting together the Super Bowl.

It's time for Wiki-Pete-ia!   Good luck to you!
