Many people in Fort Myers, Naples, Cape Coral and our barrier islands are still recovering from Hurricane Milton. However, many events that were postponed because of the storm are starting to take place now. Here are 5 end of October weekend events in SWFL that have a little something for everyone.

First, there are all kinds of additional Fall and Halloween themed events that have been ongoing but might not be listed here. Click here for a complete list of all of those seasonal activities. Just keep in mind the times may've changed so check individual websites and social media platforms to confirm before you leave the house.

In addition to Halloween activities, it's also the last weekend for Oktoberfest at the German American Social Club in Cape Coral. If you prefer Greek food, get your orders in for a pre-Greek fest event in Fort Myers. And in Naples, it's all about stone crabs. Scroll down for more on both events.

Cape Coral Oktoberfest

It's the last weekend to enjoy the 39th Annual Oktoberfest celebration at the German American Club in Cape Coral. This is one of the biggest Oktoberfest celebrations in Florida with a sprawling biergarten, dancing, and bands from Germany. Enjoy carnival rides and of course food. Lots of food and lots of beer too. More info here.

Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors

Bram Stoker's Dracula is the inspiration for this comedic version. Hurricane Milton postponed the show. It now opens Friday and runs through November 9th. This show is at the Lab Theater in downtown Fort Myers. $10-$37 More info here.

Halloween In The Park

This annual family event features both trick-or-treating AND an outdoor movie. Dress up, pack a chair or blanket and enjoy "The Addams Family". There will be creepy fog, entertainment, food, drinks, and more. The festivities are at Riverside Park in Bonita Springs. Saturday 5:30 to 9pm.  6pm Trick-0r-treating, 7:30 movie. Taste of Greece

Greek Fest is a legendary, annual event at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Fort Myers is legendary. This event is like a warm up or a teaser for next year because you can only wait for so long for more gyros, Saganaki and baklava. It's all about food and was rescheduled because of Hurricane Milton. Taste of Greece runs Thursday through Sunday. Order food in advance or in person at the church. More info here.

 

13th Annual Stone Crab Festival

Celebrating one of Southwest Florida's most famous crustaceans, this event takes place at Tin City in Naples. Begining Friday, enjoy three days of food, music and fun while you explore the shops and restaurants at this iconic spot. Free.  More info here.
