While watching the qualifying runs for the Daytona 500 this week I often wondered – what’s that? On more than one occasion I found myself wondering about the sponsor on a car. There’s a lot of cars racing  NASCAR  with some sponsors that quite frankly, I’ve never heard of. So let’s take a deep dive and educate ourselves about the sponsors of some of the cars. And then when you watch the Daytona 500 on Sunday you’ll look brilliant in front of friends and family. When you see a purple #99 car you can say “Oh yeah, that’s a bar in Nashville”. Everyone will think you’re a genius. And when you see the #8 3CHI.com car you’ll know if you enter that website into your phone the first thing that happens is a pop up that says “you must be 21 to enter this site”. Since I’m at work and I don’t care if I download questionable material on my work computer, I did the busy work for you.

And if you’re watching the race this weekend and don’t have a driver to root for – go with Ross Chastain. He’s from Alva, Florida and last year he pulled a racing move so dangerous they had to create a new rule to stop him from doing it again. Even if you didn’t like the move, you gotta admit, it was pretty bad ass.

So let’s take a lot at some of the obvious, and not so obvious sponsors of this year’s Daytona 500 cars. In order.
