June 19th is National Martini Day. Martinis are some of the most popular cocktails in bars nationwide. There are establishments that have an entire page in their menu dedicated to specialty martinis. They are classy, they are sassy and they are so darn good.

It is not hard to make a martini. Most require very few ingredients. However, those ingredients need to be quality. In addition, technique can make all the difference between a good and great cocktail. Hopefully some of these videos will help up your game.

The Basics
This guy is good at the basics. He helps you decipher some terminology and also coaches you when it comes to the addition of both vermouth and olive juice. You may have to watch it twice, he talks fast.
Bikini Martini
This one uses rum. It looks like it might be on the sweeter side too. But it sure does make a pretty looking cocktail in that martini glass. It might be perfect for the pool.
French Martini
I've seen this on a few cocktail menus and it's a little on the sweet side too. You might have to strain your eyes a bit to see the ingredients and proportions. They are on the left side of the video but are vodka, raspberry liqueur and pineapple juice.
Raspberry Limoncello Martini
This looks so refreshing and delicious. Ano9ther great martini for Southwest Florida summers. Also, National Limoncello Day is coming up so you can kill two birds with one stone here.
Espresso Martini
Espresso martinis are super popular. I like them for dessert too. There are many different ways to make them but the classic uses actual espresso, not espresso flavored liqueur and such.
