MORE FAMOUS SWEET SIXTEEN ALUMNI !

The Masters - Final Round

Ever since shooting an 11-under 61 at the waste Management in February, Spieth’s game has returned. He won last week by 2-strokes, and has been playing with a chance to win The Masters 3 times on the back 9 on a Sunday. he has already converted one of those into a Green Jacket. His game has always translated well at Augusta National. Based on his form the last 2 months, he will be there again on Sunday afternoon with a chance to win it.

Can you name more famous sweet sixteen alumni ? We did this yesterday during Wiki-Pete-ia on Shemon and Sheppard on ESPN Southwest Florida. It was a lot of fun and we barely scratched the surface.  So we will dial up more of the same today with our 2.0 version.  There is no doubt that universities around the country benefit from the national exposure March Madness brings to the schools that make the tournament. I think it especially helps smaller, lessor known schools get some publicity. Whenever small schools like Fairleigh Dickinson, Iona, FAU, St. Peters, Liberty, Loyola Chicago, or others qualify for a national basketball tournament and get on national TV, enrollment almost always goes up at these schools the following year. And that means more money for these schools. It's like free advertising!

Another way to garner attention at a school is to have famous alumni. So, today, we will explore more famous sweet sixteen alumni at these schools still alive in the NCAA men's basketball tournament. Some of these will be athletes but most will not. There are so many interesting people to chose from that we will probably do this again tomorrow. In fact, we won't be able to touch on all 16 schools in this segment. But it should be fun. So be caller number 9 at 239-337-3776, or 239-337-ESPN and be a winner. If you can't get through, feel free to play at home!
