Bachelorette parties are a right of passage for a girl and her friends before she ties the knot. Coming up with this list involved a number of things.

First, researchers polled hundreds of women around the country about their bachelorette experiences. They asked things about expenses, fun, and naughty activities, wink, wink.

On the more official side, those researchers looked at the nightlife in 200 of the biggest cities in the United States. In addition, things such as restaurants, attractions, spas and safety were taken into consideration. Finally there were over than a  dozen more metrics used to come up with the list.
