Launching rockets into space has always been fascinating! The Apollo program put man on the moon. The Space Shuttle program dominated my childhood interest in space. I used to watch the launches and landings live on TV. I would also track them in the night sky as they flew over head at 17,000 miles an hour. Now that I live in Southwest Florida I can watch the almost weekly launches from Cape Canaveral from my backyard on a clear day.
