The Denver Broncos lost on primetime... for a third time this year. Denver got a ton of preseason hype after the Russell Wilson trade from Seattle. The move was sound. Bring in a proven QB and pair him with the OC of Aaron Rodgers. What could go wrong? Well the answer is damn near everything. And Broncos fans are fed up. There have been multiple coaching blunders, poor QB play, and a general unwatchability to the offense. Last night was the 5th time the Broncos lost with the defense allowing less than 20 points. And the second time in as many weeks the team lost in overtime of a game they were leading late in the 4th quarter. This team is the most disappointing team in the league, and it isn't really close. There was Super Bowl talk around this team!
As I said; Broncos fans are fed up. Twitter was lighting up last night with memes, analysis, and plain old pissed off fans. And there is plenty of blame to go around. Most of the pie should be put on the plate of Nathaniel Hackett and Russell Wilson. But I also blame the NFL. It's one thing to be bad. It is another to be bad and be on primetime every week. They've played 4 primetime games this season, and we're only 6 weeks in. Putting a terrible product on display for America just amplifies the poor play. Good news for football fans is this team will not be on primetime until December. And barring them being flexed, America will not have to watch them again. Unfortunately we are sending them to England later this month to play the Jags- sorry England.
