Ohio State in Danger? Ohio State in danger of what? As the Buckeyes football team prepares to face the Tennessee Vols in the college football playoffs Saturday night they may lose because they are still thinking about their loss to arch rival Michigan. That game was two weeks ago and they are still talking about it!

In a recent interview Ohio State football coach Ryan Day said his team has a lot to play for and has a real chance to win a national championship. "Unlike other teams." Other teams would be Michigan in this case. He is still taking shots at them even though he lost.

Need another example? Quarterback Will Howard is usually pretty upbeat when facing the media. This week he was down. Terse. Short answers. Especially when asked about what he learned about in the Michigan loss. Howard has only been in Columbus for a year and yet he wears the burden of the loss to TTUN as if he were one of the fifth year seniors on the team who had never beat Michigan.

OHIO STATE IN DANGER!

Columbus Dispatch writer Brian White wrote this week, "Don't let Michigan beat you twice." Even he is fearful the Buckeyes won't shake off the loss to the Wolverines and that may cost them a win against Tennessee. They need to be laser focused on the Vols and they are not!

Then there is the fan base to worry about. This fan base watched their team lose as three touchdown home favorites to the Wolverines and if they get off to a slow start against the Vols in front of that same fan base there might be a lot of boo-birds in the crowd. Ohio State in Danger! Saturday night could be a long night for Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
