Of all the things you could find on a beach, police are investigating after a human head was found washed up on a Miami-area beach.
One of the reasons I moved to Florida was to have easy access to the beach. I go to the beach at least once a week if not more. I love taking my dog Rocket for a walk on Fort Myers Beach or to go shelling on Sanibel. Knowing some history about pirates in Florida, I always have these dreams of finding buried treasure on the beach, talk about an incredible find! But can you imagine walking on the beach or laying out for a day of relaxation and seeing a human head wash up on the beach? That's exactly what happened on a Miami-area beach.
Police Investigating After Human Head Was Found Washed Up On Miami Area Beach
Tuesday morning, police were called to Key Biscayne beach where there was a discovery of a human head that had washed ashore. Someone who was out raking the beach came across the head. Police have confirmed that it belongs to a human, but there are still so many questions. Why is it there? Who does it belong to?
At this point in time the section of the beach where the head was found is closed off as the investigation continues. There's no word on the gender of the person the head belongs to or how long this person may have been dead for. NBC6 says police are working with the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the identity of the person the head belongs to. There have been other cases in the area, so they are also looking into a possible connection.
