We all know how hard it was to get Taylor Swift tix, but one Florida man posed as security to sneak into the concert.
Last weekend, Taylor Swift took over Miami and the Swifties took over the city in a big way. People came from all over the world to see the Eras Tour and even if Taylor looked like an ant on stage, just the idea of being in the same place as her was enough to have people losing their minds. A friend of mine flew down with his wife from North Carolina and sent me a video from the plane. From the second it took off to the second the plane landed, it was non-stop Taylor karaoke with the entire plane singing. Forget taking a nap, the excitement was too much to handle.
But even with how excited people were to see the show, there were plenty of broken hearts. Tickets were sold out the second they went on sale. And the tickets that were up for resale were going, at minimum, for over $1100. A friend of mine was trying to sell hers and tickets in her same row were going for $4000! Not exactly in everyone's budget. So one Florida man got creative and posed as security to sneak in.
Florida Man Posed as Security to Sneak into Taylor Swift Concert
Friday night, day 1 of Taylor's 3-night stint in Miami, a 44-year-old man was arrested for impersonating a security guard to get into the concert. According to WFLA, Ivan Mariotti, of Key Biscayne, wore a blue suit with a gold badge and got into Hard Rock Stadium. In the arrest report it says that an officer asked him why he had the badge on and he told them that 4 women hired him to work security and needed to escort them to their seats, but did admit to not having tickets to the show.
Turns out, this guy is actually an Uber driver who drove the women to the show and just wore the getup to get into the show. Mariotti was arrested and being charged with falsely impersonating an officer and interfering with an entertainment event. He is also being held on a warrant for immigration.
