Tom Brady hurting FOX TV: He cannot continue doing games for FOX TV and remain a part owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. I guess he can but he should not.
Following Brady's illustrious playing career he became a game analyst for the NFL on FOX and he is getting paid well north of $30 million dollars to do so. This week his bid to become a vocal but minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders has been approved by NFL owners.
Those two positions are a complete conflict of interest and more so a disservice to the fans that watch him broadcast on Sundays. Because he can no longer do his TV job the right way.
Tom Brady Hurting FOX: As an NFL owner he can no longer be in another team's facility. He cannot watch practices. He cannot be in TV production meetings. He cannot overly criticize officials or other teams. He cannot tamper with players. Basically he cannot do what he is supposed to do to prepare for an NFL game each week.
TOM BRADY HURTING FOX
Tom Brady hurting FOX: Memorizing rosters and watching game film and relying on his experience on he field will not be enough for he fans. Furthermore, his play-by-play partner Kevin Burkhardt and sideline reporter Erin Andrews won't be able to do their jobs effectively either. What team is going to offer them insider information in a production meeting knowing that they are working with someone who owns another team. Do you think Andy Reid, Sean Payton or Jim Harbaugh are going to give away game strategy to people that work with an owner of the Raiders?
I have nothing against Tom Brady but he needs to decide if he wants to be an owner or a broadcaster. For more NFL talk and opinion tune in to Craig Shemon and Company each weekday from 2-6pm on ESPN Southwest Florida.
