Little Puppy Found in Scorching Florida Sun Gets Rescued

So, Lacey Moorlag, aka @laceykalin on TikTok, did something that most people just scroll past on social media. She saw a helpless little puppy for sale on the side of the road in Tampa Bay and actually did something about it. According to Newsweek, it was a 97-degree day, and the Florida heat was turning up! This poor Rottweiler puppy was stuck in a crate, no shade, or no water! It's the kind of scene that makes you wanna throw your phone across the room, but Lacey? Nah, she put her cape on. It was hero time.

She pulled over, scooped up the little puppy, and took him home. Simple as that. The video she posted on August 31 blew up with over 387,000 views because it showed something people needed to see more of… Compassion. That little puppy went from sweltering heat to a nice and cool ride in her car and then into her home, safe and sound. Lacey wasn’t about to leave the little puppy out there suffering.

Now, Pete (that's the pup's name) has found an amazing new home, thanks to Lacey putting out a call for someone to adopt him. And people online? They were all over it. You’d think she rescued a celebrity with all the love she got in the comments. Some said Lacey had a heart of gold, others were just happy Pete was no longer in that mess.

She even tried to get the cops involved, but surprise, surprise... Selling dogs like that isn’t illegal in Florida. Still, Lacey didn't sit back and just accept that, she acted. The internet came through with applause for her, and Pete is now living his best life in a new home.

Meanwhile, in Wisconsin, Siberian Huskies enjoy top-dog status and live their best lives. With their thick coats and specially adapted paws, these pups feel right at home during those chilly Wisconsin winters. And while they may look like they’re constantly thinking about their next sled race, these intelligent and friendly companions are just as happy to curl up with you by the fireplace (as long as they can still see the snow).

Chow Chows and English Bulldogs tied for the third most searched puppy breed, with each securing the top vote in three states.

To determine the most popular puppy breeds in each U.S. state, we looked to the American Kennel Club to determine the top 38 dog breeds. Next, we used Google Trends data to track searches over the last five years (2018 – 2023). It’s important to note that we researched puppy preferences, not dogs in general.
