Big Ten vs SEC: Who is the best in college football? Most arrogant SEC fans will not even consider the question. But if you put your head in the sand too long you won't see what is going on around you!

Just a few weeks ago six of the top seven teams in the country according to the Associated Press Top 25 were made up of SEC teams. The Big Ten had plenty of representation throughout the Top 25 but their teams were scattered throughout the list.

Since then, former number one ranked Georgia had an uninspiring 13-12 win at Kentucky but went toe to toe on the road with Alabama only to lose a heartbreaker. That quieted some critics because Alabama is considered a great team. But then Alabama went to Vanderbilt, historically the worst team in Power 5/ Power 4 history...and lost.

That was an embarrassing blow to arrogant SEC fan's ego. And the polls noticed!

Big Ten vs SEC: Remember when we mentioned how the SEC used to have six of the top seven spots? Not anymore.

Indiana, Illinois and Michigan are also in the Top 25. And USC, Nebraska, Iowa and Washington are in the "others receiving votes" category.
