Cape Coral Man Steals Car for Late Night McDonald’s Run

Cape Coral Man Steals Car for Late Night McDonald's Run

I understand when cravings hit, there's not much you wouldn't do to fulfill them, but one Cape Coral man stole a car for a late night McDonald's run.

I don't eat much fast food anymore, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't get a craving for Taco Bell every now and again. I don't know exactly what it is that I prefer over other fast food joints, but it's just so darn good. We all have our favorites. Maybe yours is Burger King, Chick-fil-A, Arbys, Subway- there are so many to choose from. Well, one Cape Coral man clearly has a preference for McDonald's. And he went as far as to steal a car to make those Big Mac dreams come true.

Cape Coral Man Steals Car for Late Night McDonald's Run

Police are looking for a man who stole another man's car for a late night McDonald's run. NBC2 reports that 32 year-old Sebasthian Rivera didn't show up to court after he was arrested for grand theft auto. Now, a nice Rivera would've taken the car to go get his food and return it, but no. Police say that after he stole the vehicle from a home in Cape Coral, after he drove it to McD's, he just left it there.

Maybe he thought he'd be able to get away after he got what he wanted, but video surveillance did catch him in the act and police later found him sleeping near a strip mall on Del Prado. Did he eat himself into a food coma? I mean, I know the feeling. Did the double cheeseburgers drown out the adrenaline? Too much excitement for one night?

Well, police caught up with Rivera and arrested him and after a month in jail he was released with a court date in August. He didn't show up and is now wanted by the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
