Man In Underwear Charged With Theft At Fort Myers Beach Mini Golf Course

Francisco Fortin Mayorga- Man In Underwear Charged With Theft At Fort Myers Beach Mini Golf Course

There's no shortage of crazy Florida man stories and this one hit close to home as a man in underwear has been charged with theft at a Fort Myers Beach mini golf course.

With how hot it's been lately in Southwest Florida I understand how people want to shed their clothing for something a little lighter. It's been great weather for swim suits at the beach, tank tops and shorts. But heading out into the public, you have to keep it appropriate. At least the majority of us think this way, but sometimes the Florida Man has other ideas. Like this guy wearing only underwear who went crazy at a Fort Myers Beach mini golf course.

Mini golf courses are so much fun. When I was a kid, as a family, we would play mini golf on every vacation and I have so many great memories of that. But sometimes, people have a different kind of excitement on the course. Like 38-year-old Francisco Fortin Mayorga. He went to Smuggler's Cove Adventure Golf and decided what was there belonged to him. According to NBC2, Mayorga stole ice cream, coupons, cups and a sign. Camera footage also shows him walking around destroying things like a napkin dispenser, a gate, and hitting a door open with a fire extinguisher he pulled off the wall.

Of course my big question is why? I mean, I like ice cream and it's certainly plenty warm out there, so it would be a nice treat. And I guess a lack of clothing keeps you cool as well. But why the destruction?

Well, Mayorga's path of destruction has led him straight to the Lee County jail where he is facing charges of burglary to an unoccupied structure, grand theft, petty theft, criminal mischief and giving a false ID to a deputy.
