Tua Tagovailoa Please Retire

Tua Tagovailoa please retire from football. During Thursday Night Football last night where the Miami Dolphins suffered a huge loss to division rival Buffalo, something worse than the loss of a game happened. Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion on a hard hit in the 3rd quarter. Sadly, we've seen this before with Tua. Officially he suffered his third concussion since joining the NFL. But we all know it was his fourth because one hit in the past left him wobbly and was deemed a neck injury.

Many will criticize Tua because he did not slide on the play where he got hurt. But there is an unwritten rule about quarterbacks sliding for safety. If the game is on the line go ahead and run forward and fight for the extra yard. And that was the case on the play Tua was injured. The team was down 31-10 largely because of his 3 interceptions and it was a 4th down play near the goal line. Possibly feeling the pressure of his new contract he felt he needed that first down. Had he slid, he would have been ruled short of the first down and the game would have likely remained out of reach.

TUA TAGOVAILOA PLEASE RETIRE

Regarding Tua's new contract. It was life changing. It's a 4 year deal for $212 million dollars. Up until then he already earned over $30 million dollars. That's still life changing money. And with proper management that can be generational money for his family. But the only real lifestyle difference between a person with $30 million dollars in the bank and $200 million dollars in the bank is you get to buy a Gulf Stream jet instead of leasing one.

But what good is any of it if you have serious brain problems by the time you are in your mid forties? Tua has a wife and two small kids. And EVERYBODY who knows him says he is a great dude. Tua Tagovailoa please retire form football, avoid future concussions and enjoy your life. It is OK to do so.
