A Night Out In This Florida City Is More Expensive Than Most

When you're choosing where to go out, if price is a factor, a night out in this Florida city is more expensive than most.

It's been a long week. The weekend is finally here and you're ready to let loose. You call the girls or a group of buddies and start to plan where the party is going down. It could be a dive bar where the beer is cheap, maybe it's a nightclub where you can dance the night away or maybe a classy rooftop for a martini or two. We all have our favorite spots for nightlife. For me, it just depends what kind of vibe I'm looking for. Sometimes I like to dance, while other times I like to sit on a comfy couch with some low lighting and some beats in the background.

But just like everything else these days, the prices of drinks are going up too and just one night out can get expensive. Especially in one Florida city.

QR Code Generator put out a list of the most expensive cities in America for a night out. They looked at factors like the cost of taxis, cocktails, beer and combo meals. Obviously I haven't been everywhere, but I do travel pretty regularly and to me, what comes to mind as a very expensive city is Las Vegas. The last time I was there, at a pool bar, I paid $28 for one drink. I thought I misheard the bartender, I couldn't believe it. So if I paid that at the pool, I can't even imagine what the same drink would cost at a nightclub. Shockingly, Vegas didn't even make their list of the top 10.

But here in Florida, Miami came in at #9. According to the report, taxis are pretty affordable, however the average price for a pint of beer in Miami is $7 with cocktails averaging $20. Memphis, TN came in at the city with the cheapest night out.
