Pot Smoking Florida Dad Busted After Baby Eats Joint

Meet Cody Spiegelhalter, a pot smoking Florida dad who managed to give stoners a bad name. This guy wanted a chill Sunday afternoon, but it soon turned into a headline-making fiasco.

According to FOX35, Cody decided to roll himself a nice, fat marijuana joint. Harmless enough, right? But then nature called. He left his freshly rolled joint within easy reach of his 15-month-old daughter and took off to the bathroom. You see where this is going?

While Cody was answering the call of nature, his daughter decided to have a little snack – on the joint. Yes, you heard that right. By the time he got back, she had ingested most of it. Cody’s bright idea of fatherhood had just turned into a full-blown emergency.

Now, Cody realized something was seriously wrong and rushed his little girl to the hospital. They didn’t stop there, though. The poor kid had to be transferred to a pediatric hospital for further treatment. Talk about a rollercoaster of bad decisions!

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office got involved and paid Cody a visit. What they found was the stuff of nightmares. More than just pot smoking. The house was a complete disaster zone – dog feces and urine on the floors, garbage everywhere, and exposed nails and plumbing. The place was so bad it sounded like a horror movie set. And to top it off, the air conditioning was busted. Florida heat, dude.

Oh, but it gets worse. The deputies found loose marijuana scattered around the house, all within easy reach of the toddler. Throw in a dash of mushrooms and some THC wax lying around, and you've got a recipe for disaster.

So now, Cody is sitting in the Flagler County Jail, slapped with a child neglect charge. He’s looking at a $25,000 bond to get out. As for his little girl, her current condition is still up in the air.

This, my friends, is a prime example of how not to parent. Pot smoking must be done responsibly. Nuff said.
