Florida Rainy Day Comfort Food – Publix Chicken Tender Subs Are Now On Sale
I feel bad for Northern Florida, a lot of those areas are in dire need of rain. We're getting it all here in the southern part. There is a bit of good news, however, if you're looking for rainy day comfort food. The holy grail of Florida cuisine - the Publix Chicken Tender Sub just went on sale.
if you're not aware what's going on here in South Florida right now, have a look. People are literally getting rescued from their homes. And the rain just keeps coming.
Florida Rainy Day Comfort Food
It's a mess here in Southern Florida, but there's no way that Publix just came up with this idea on the spot. They make these plans weeks or even months in advance. Either way, the timing is perfect. Publix Chicken Tender subs are $8.49 starting today and through June 19th.
Even as I write this, there's a violent thunderstorm happening just outside my window. I keep hitting "save draft" just in case the power goes out. Sure, I'm on battery backup - but our internet isn't.
Southwest Florida Rainy Day Comfort Food
This is where the west coast and the east coast of South Florida are different. Miami people will drive their cars right into the middle of a flooded street without thinking. Here on the west coast, the town basically shuts down when it starts raining. People don't go anywhere. I guarantee you the stores ae not very busy right now, which means very little wait time on those Pub Subs.
Yes, That's The Sale Price.
My only issue with this is the price. Just a couple of years ago, $8.49 was the full price. Now it's the sale price. Inflation hit everything, I remember writing about this sub being $5.99 on sale. The good news is, it hasn't gone up more. It looks like this $8.49 sale price is now the norm. If you're looking for some alternate rainy day comfort food in Southwest Florida, that chowder at Rusty's is amazing.
