One of the many benefits of living in a warm weather state is that there really is no bad time to fire up the grill. A new report by Lawn Love shows that grilling in Fort Myers is quite popular. Furthermore, it states that Fort Myers is one of the top cities in the country for grilling meat.
"We looked at local interest in grilling, access to butcheries and home improvement chains, and the average cost of meat in the area. We also considered ideal weather conditions for cooking outdoors, among 17 total metrics," Lawn Love stated. Overall, they analyzed 470 cities across the country. The measurement in each category resulted in a score aligned to cost, access, outdoors, and popularity.
Grilling In Fort Myers Ranked 7th
There was only a slim difference between Fort Myers, coming in at 7, and the top-ranked city for grilling meat, which is also in Florida.
"Florida cities — like Melbourne (No. 1), Orlando (No. 5), and Fort Myers (No. 7) — broil to the top of our ranking with the biggest interest in grilling, demonstrated by local Google searches," Lawn Love said. Kissimmee, Tampa. and Lakeland also cracked the top 35.
So, what's best to grill in Fort Myers? There's really no wrong answer. The number of butcheries in close proximity contributed to its being a great place to grill meat.
In addition, many places in the area support this cooking style. For example, the Paradise Grills Showroom. "If picking out the perfect products for your space seems overwhelming or if you’re unsure of where to start when looking to build outdoor kitchens in Fort Myers we’ve got you covered with plenty of ideas, tips and tricks for custom outdoor kitchen designs," they say.
Outdoor kitchens have become increasingly popular. There's just something cool about grilling while you have company over, playing games or having drinks outside.
Grilling can also be applicable to restaurants as opposed to your own backyard. Tripadvisor named Mission BBQ, Rib City, The Lodge, and Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que as some of the best places to grab great grilled BBQ food in the area.
Adding to the good grilling news here is that we have one of the most popular days of the year to engage in such cooking coming up soon. Reporting on last year's statistics, the Hearth, Patio and Barbeque Association said, "The most popular grilling day of the year continues to be Fourth of July, when 54% of owners grilled out."
