Florida Dad Arrested for Pulling AR-15 on Uber Driver

A Florida Dad was arrested for brandishing an AR-15 and threatening an Uber driver who was dropping off his daughter at their home.

This past weekend, a Florida dad got a little too carried away with the whole "protective father" thing. According to FOX35, Sean Hollonbeck, 54, from Milton, ended up in handcuffs after pulling an AR-15 on an Uber driver who was just doing his job.

It all went down on May 4, just before 11 p.m. The Uber driver had just dropped off Hollonbeck's daughter at their home. The daughter was still in the car when she saw her dad sprinting up with an AR-15 in his hands. Talk about a terrifying welcome home.

According to the arrest report, the Florida dad went full-on "acting crazy," waving the gun around and yelling. The poor Uber driver had no idea what hit him. One minute he’s driving around, the next he’s got a rifle in his face and a guy screaming at him to get out of the car. Hollonbeck even forced the driver to the ground, making him show his driver’s license before taking pictures of it. Only then did he let the guy go.

The daughter, understandably freaked out, rushed inside the house. She had friends over who also got a front-row seat to this crazy Florida dad episode. Imagine trying to explain that to your friends. "Oh, don't mind my dad, he just likes to wave rifles at strangers sometimes."

The deputies weren't too amused by Hollonbeck’s little show of force. They arrested him on charges of false imprisonment and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Now, instead of playing protective dad, he’s got to deal with some serious legal trouble.

So, next time you think your daughter’s Uber driver looks sketchy, maybe just peek out the window and give a friendly wave instead of playing Rambo. It’ll probably a trip to jail.
